Dr. Tejpaul Bhatia

Veterinarian, Founder & Previous Owner of Cypress St Animal Hospital (2002 - 2024)

Meet Dr. Bhatia, a Veterinarian passionate about delivering exceptional care. Dr. Bhatia brings over 35 years of experience in Veterinary Medicine. His areas of expertise are small animal, internal medicine, Dermatology, emergency medicine, and critical care.

A graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine in PAU India (1986). He immigrated to Canada in 1997. With his expertise across different veterinary clinics in Alberta & Vancouver, his unparalleled compassion for animals strived him to open Cypress St. Animal Hospital in 2002. While success and many awards were thriving his way for more than 22 years, his health suddenly challenged him to take a break and retire from Cypress. Still, his commitment and dedication brought him back into action, and he started his practice again in Richmond. Dr. Bhatia prioritizes continued education, completing 50-70 hours of professional development annually. Outside of work, he loves watching sports like Cricket, Field hockey, and Ice hockey. He is also a devoted follower of spiritual & religious themes.

Meet Dr. Joseph Martinez, our Lead Surgeon & Former Owner of Little Paws Animal Clinic, Richmond. A Veterinarian with 40+ years of experience with expertise in Exotic Pet Treatment/ Surgeries, Dental, Eye Surgeries & Internal medicine. He is passionate about exotic pets and rabbits as well as holistic medicine.
